February Half Term Holidays For Big Groups

HAPPY NEW YEAR FOLKS! Hope you’ve had a blast – a right merry old time of it spent with all the people who mean the most to you. The trouble is sometimes you just love it so much you don’t want it to end so when the new year comes and it’s back to work and the kids are back to school everything can seem a bit dull and flat after the excitement of Christmas and New Year’s Eve – but hey, don’t worry because before you know it it’ll be spring again, and in the meantime there’s much to get happy about.

If you enjoyed all the festive get togethers and you’re feeling a bit sad because you’re wondering when you’ll all be together again, then put your thinking cap on and start planning a large group holiday where you can share precious moments, whether it’s for Christmas 2019, a week in the summer, a light and airy Easter break or a few days of autumn glory. If there’s a reason to celebrate this year, like a milestone birthday, a special anniversary or something, then you don’t need any excuse! Get you all together and get away to celebrate in style at a Sleeps12 luxury big holiday house where you’ll find swimming pools, hot tubs, games rooms, BBQ lodges, and play areas for the little people – in other words, something for everyone, for all ages, and wait for it – the dog can come too, as most of our wonderful property owners appreciate how much our pets mean to us.

The only thing is, you’ll have to be quick because things get snapped up quickly and we’re already taking bookings for the whole of 2019 and well into 2020. Think ahead – those big birthdays and that, that’s our advice. If you can’t wait then how’s about a cheeky break in the February half term? Well, why not? It’s something to look forward to if you find it hard to get back into the routine of work, school, work, school, and by then the nights are that little bit shorter, things are starting to wake up, little buds coming up, birds getting busier. What we like about it is that it’s generally a quieter time of year, there's less traffic on the roads, the pubs and cafes aren’t so busy; okay, okay, a lot of the family attractions may not be open, but there’s always something to do, for a start there’s the vast open countryside to explore – right from the doorstep. Think of all the beautiful historic houses – the gardens are still open, there’s all that gorgeous parkland to roam, and they tend to put on organised activity days for the kids at half term. Museums are open, and there are plenty of indoor activities like climbing centres, go-karting, trampolining and escape rooms, lots you can all do together.

Our large group self catering houses in Somerset, Devon, Wiltshire, The Forest of Dean and The New Forest sleep 8-30 people so you can get together with a few other families that you’re friendly with and have a few days away with a big focus on fun and relaxation.

And don’t forget that big doesn’t always mean expensive – split the cost of the holiday between the number of people in your group and it’s actually very good value, especially considering what you get – top notch accommodation, amazing facilities and glorious rural surroundings – all to yourself; you don’t have to share it with anyone like you would if you stayed at a hotel for the same sort of price.

If you’ve got toddlers and babes in arms as well as school age children, you’ll be glad to know that we’ve made things easier for you to enjoy a large group holiday by providing toddler beds, cots and highchairs at no extra cost. Well, it makes sense, you know what a pain it is trying to squeeze all that stuff in the car – at least that’s something you won’t have to worry about. Stairgates are usually provided too – you see, we want you to enjoy your stay with Sleeps12, so we’ve done what we can to take any stress away. From experience we can definitely say that children absolutely love a stay at one of our big holiday cottages because it’s so exciting, there is SO much to do – and we all know that happy children = happy you.

Treat yourself to a happy half term break this February, get all the feels of a relaxing holiday with friends and the joy of seeing the young ‘uns in their element. After all, they’re only young once, make the most of it, but like we said, don’t dally, check availability now and reserve your chosen property for 2 days. Isn’t that good? Something to really look forward to and it’s just around the corner…
