A trip to the ancient Roman town of Cirencester makes for a superb day out for all the family whilst on your holidays in the UK. There’s something here for everyone – those who like a bit of retail therapy have a range of independent and big name shops to browse, and for the culture vultures there’s an arts centre, a museum and a Roman amphitheatre. You’ll be on your best behaviour if you visit the Cirencester Lock Up, formerly part of the town workhouse!
