Clifton Village, Bristol, Somerset
When you're in Clifton Village you wouldn't think you were only 5 minutes from Bristol City centre; the village has an ambience of it's own, away from the hustle and bustle, there's an altogether more gentle, more refined air. The architecture is splendid Georgian and Regency; there are some interesting independent shops and boutiques, and a wonderful Victorian shopping arcade. This area is home to several of the cities top attractions - Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol Zoo Gardens, Clifton Observatory, and Birdcage Walk graveyard. Good places to eat are The Albion, The Lansdown, The Ivy Clifton Brasseire, and Primrose Cafe.
