Surely one of the best ways to see the glorious Somerset countryside is on horseback, so get yourselves booked up with Flying Star Stables where they do rides and hacks through the fields and winding lanes for riders of all abilities on 10 gorgeous horses, each with their own lovable character. Hacks can be one and a half or two hours long, and they also do lessons for 3-12 year olds. They have indoor and outdoor arenas and as you’d expect all instructors are very well qualified and suitably experienced – in fact, this bunch have more than 25 years of horsey history notched up between them. Those with a passion for all things equine will be delighted to catch one of the Pony Fun Days and special events that are held at Flying Star Stables throughout the year.
