London

Planning a day trip to London is quite a task because there is just SO much there! This is one big mother of a city that’s absolutely packed with amazing things to see and do, so it’s a case of, well, where to start…

Make it easy by booking a sightseeing tour, that will tick a lot of boxes and it won’t take up the whole day. A cruise on a riverboat on the Thames is another great way to take in the sights, or you can take advantage of a Hop on Hop Off Bus Tour which gives you the freedom to jump off and explore those famous attractions like Westminster Abbey, The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the Houses of Parliament.

There are heaps of art galleries and museums where you can quite literally spend hours browsing – like Tate Britain, the National Portrait Gallery, the National Gallery, the Science Museum, the British Museum, or the Natural History Museum. The kids will love London Zoo, Sealife London Aquarium, perhaps a tour of the Harry Potter set at Warner Bros Studio, or the chance to let off steam in one of the vast parks like Hyde Park or Kensington Gardens. Have a family trip on the London Eye where you’ll have the most astonishing views of the city, rub shoulders with the rich and famous at Madame Tussauds, or have a gruesome experience at the London Dungeon.

Shopaholics just won’t be able to get enough of London, with something for all tastes; shop the whole length of Oxford Street, go to groovy Camden Market or Carnaby Street, have a mooch around Old Spitalfields Market, and a must, treat yourself to a little something from Harrods.

See? London is heaving with exciting things to do whatever your tastes, from the vibrant nightlife to musicals and theatre, big matches and exhilarating events everyday of the year. Plan it well, that’s our advice.
