Sidmouth, Devon

On the world famous Jurassic coast, Sidmouth is a town of refined Regency architecture and red sandstone cliffs backed with the tumbling green hills of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A long stretch of mostly pebble beach extends along the seafront, whilst to the west end of the town, Jacobs Ladder beach is more popular with families as it has a large expanse of sand and rockpools at low tide. In the town you’ll find a range of independent shops and eateries, and in August, the whole place is abuzz with the eclectic vibe of Sidmouth Folk Festival. For lunches and snacks try the pretty Clock Tower Tearooms, Taste of Sidmouth, or for pub grub, the nearby Blue Ball Inn.

One beach zone has no dog restrictions.
