Wales Coast Path

An 870 mile long walking trail covering the entire Welsh coast from Chepstow in the south to Chester in the north. It opened in 2012 and was the first uninterrupted route along a national coast in the world.
The Welsh Coast Path passes through a diversity of scenery; much of it is spectacularly beautiful, of rugged cliffs, remote windswept beaches, and golden sands. The trail takes in city waterfronts, tiny fishing villages, woods and fields, hills and valleys with ancient castles, industrial heritage, modern fun-parks and plenty of places to eat and drink along the way. It’s easy to join the path and you can walk whatever distance you like; have a good day’s hiking or enjoy a leisurely amble on a shorter section. Pack your boots.
