Watchet, Somerset

This small but charming town on the Somerset coast is a colourful mix of quaint houses and shops, with two museums, a marina, an old port, an ancient church and holy well to visit. Look for fossils on the beach, sit on the esplanade and watch the world go by whilst you enjoy an ice cream, take a ride on a steam train on the West Somerset Railway; make a day of it with lunch in The Patio Restaurant & Tea Garden, or tuck into some tasty pub grub in the Bell Inn.
