So, the big day is all organised, you've got your select set of ladies - now all you need is somewhere to take them all away for a hen weekend to remember. Well, if you're thinking relaxing, peaceful, away from it all, a chance to really unwind with your besties, then Culmbridge House has everything you need. It's stylish, spacious and luxurious, and has a games room, a private swimming pool and sauna, and a large private garden with a cosy BBQ lodge.

Right on your doorstep there are village shops and pubs, and miles and miles of glorious countryside, so plenty of opportunities for you and your hens to take a leisurely amble down a country lane or to follow a footpath through the fields. You're right up on the Blackdown Hills here, great for exploring on foot, by bike or on horseback. Head back to Culmbridge House for pampering from one of our recommended mobile beauty therapists, a life drawing lesson, or cupcake decorating. Have a unique Bollywood dance class, with costumes and henna, and relax into the evening with drinks on the patio brought to you by your very own cocktail bartender, or gather round the table for a mouth watering celebratory feast created by highly reputed local caterers. Sounds good? Check out our Extras page for details.

Clear any fuzzy heads the next day by heading over to the coast at Lyme Regis for a mackerel fishing trip, or a stroll along the beach, or walk up to Culm Beacon and let the wind blow through your hair whilst you admire the views; you could always book a table at the Culm Valley Inn for Sunday roast afterwards. If you like the idea of a refined visit to one of the historic houses nearby, then we'd suggest Knightshayes, Killerton, or Forde Abbey. One of the nicest things to do that's guaranteed to induce ultimate relaxation is to take a leisurely trip along the canal at Tiverton on a horse drawn barge; it's so utterly tranquil, and when you get back you could have a cream tea at the Canal Tea Rooms & Garden or on the floating Ducks Ditty Cafe Bar. If you prefer the idea of a town, have a mooch about in Wellington, or Honiton, or head down to Exeter for the day; it's not all about shops - there's a wonderful cathedral there, and you can go underground on a tour of the secret passages beneath the streets.

Have a look at our Things To Do pages and you'll find plenty of ideas and inspiration for places to visit and where to eat; all you need to do then is get it all organised and look forward to a happy hen weekend. Note that we can only take bookings for single sex groups at this property by prior arrangement, so do be sure to give us a call before you book.
