Caroline Wholey
Caroline Wholey has catered for ski seasons in the Alps, summers in the South of France and autumns in shooting lodges. She’s spent a year in the USA as a family cook and has covered numerous director’s lunches in London. These days she’s happy catering for guests at their Sleeps12 holiday house, using seasonal ingredients to create the most delicious dinners and buffets. She will also deliver main dishes and desserts, and make occasion cakes to order.

Brook House Somerset
Becky at Brook House offers two services catering for up to 30 people at your large group holiday house. Dinner to Your Door is a drop off service with bespoke menus or fixed price set menus that change weekly. Dinner to Your Party brings you tailored menus for lunches, dinners, buffets and canapes; Becky will come and cook for you, bringing her own waiting staff. She works with local suppliers using the best of fresh, seasonal Somerset produce.

Marc at Soul Food has worked for several well-known restaurants, including the Castle Hotel in Taunton, Marc Hix, River Cottage and The New Angel at Dartmouth. Why not celebrate your family gathering with a photo-shoot with award-winning portrait photographer Emily Fairweather? Emily knows the Sleeps 12 properties well, choosing stunning natural backdrops for your family portraits & providing beautiful natural photographs to remind you of your happy holiday.
Emily will produce contemporary black and white images and vibrant colourful photos using natural light and gorgeous rural backgrounds at your Sleeps 12 property, garden and surrounding countryside. A typical shoot will last around an hour and will take place in two or three different parts of the garden/house – wherever the best light is. She’ll do large family group portraits and then a variety of smaller family shots in any combination you like!

Horse Riding

Spend a few hours pony trekking in the beautiful Somerset countryside; take a leisurely trek through the open fields, on bridleways and quiet country lanes, or by prior arrangement, along the beach on the nearby Jurassic Coast. More experienced riders can try the cross country course, or you can make use of the indoor or outdoor arenas. The horses are all sizes so there should be something to suit you, and if you've got young children (3 years+) they can do reign lead rides.
